Members of the 3rd Desborough Scout Group helped Kettering mayor June Derbyshire plant the trees in the town’s pocket park on Tuesday, April 5.

The Scout group also made some pom pom decorative animals and sowed some wildflower seeds in the park.
Vice-chairman of the pocket park committee Keith Brown said: “This represents the start of a season of improvements to the park, which will include cleaning out the pond tidying up the stream, and also making access to the park much easier.
“We want to make the park even better, a place for the community to come and enjoy and somewhere for families to bring their children.”
