TRAVIS Perkins has entered a 50-strong team into one of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance’s Heroes Run events in the county.
The air ambulance is holding its first Heroes Run at Holdenby House on Sunday, April 29, and the second on Sunday, June 24, at Deene Park, near Corby.
The team of 50 from Travis Perkins’ head office in Northampton will take part in the Holdenby House run and is the biggest team entered into it so far.
Air ambulance fundraising manager Tracy Grunwell said: “I am thrilled with the support offered by Travis Perkins, it’s our biggest team to enter so far.
“We’re hoping to raise £20,000 from our Heroes Run at Holdenby, and it’s really heart-warming to see both patients and supporters taking part.”
Sarah Maddock from Travis Perkins said: “We know that the air ambulance need to raise £1.7m a year and can’t really fly without local support.
“We are proud and delighted to be the biggest team to enter such a worthwhile event.”
