A woman has been taken to hospital after she was involved in a crash on the A6 near Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, last night - with the traffic caused by the accident tailing back to Rushden.
Bedfordshire Police were called to the one vehicle at the accident at around 5pm last night, discovering a vehicle turned on its side. The road was closed to deal with the accident and the fire service, and the ambulance service, also attended.
The woman was released from her vehicle by 6.20pm and was taken to Bedford South Wing Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The road remain closed until the accident could be cleared and eventually re-opened at around 7.45pm.
