Trampoline centre bounces into Corby
A huge trampoline park has opened its doors at a launch party in Corby.
Workmen were still putting finishing touches to Planet Bounce as hundreds of invited guests spilled through the doors of the Planet Bounce in Rockingham Leisure Park, Princewood Road.
But the event was a huge success, with local people impressed with the facilities at the new venue.
About 80 jobs have been created at Planet Bounce, with many of them filled by local youngsters.
The park features a main trampoline arena, dodgeball courts, an air bag, basketball hoops, an aeroball court and two tumble tracks.
Court co-ordinator Wayne Baker said: “We had a tight deadline to finish the venue and it was close to the wire but we managed it.
“It’s been a great day and we’re pleased to be finally open.
“There’s nothing like this for miles around and it’s a great facility for Corby.”
Members of Market Harborough Trampoline Academy were among the first to try out their impressive tricks on the tumble track. Other invited guests included children from local schools.
Oliver Worthington, five, said: “I think it’s brilliant. The big airbag was my favourite bit.”
The venue is open daily from 10am to 10pm and children must be over four to attend. Entry is £10 per one-hour session.
