The road outside Corby Cemetery in Rockingham Road was flooded again today (Thursday, October 11) and Anglian Water have installed temporary traffic lights while they fix the issue.

Last time the main burst, in August, Anglian Water said they would launch a thorough investigation to get to the bottom of what the problem was.

But now it has burst again and motorists have endured another day of traffic misery.

At this morning’s rush hour, cars were queued along the A6003 in both directions at the Rockingham Castle roundabout, along Rockingham Road by the Jet garage and in Gretton Brook Road past the Chequered Flag.

An Anglian Water spokesman said: “Our teams have been working to repair a burst water main on Rockingham Road in Corby today. The repair has been completed and no customers were affected.

“Two-way lights are currently in place on Rockingham Road to allow our teams to make repairs to the road surface. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this causes and would like to thank residents for their patience whilst we make these vital repairs.”
