Oundle is holding its annual Christmas market, which this year features more than 60 stalls, next weekend.
The event takes place on Saturday, December 7, running from 12pm until 8pm.
Co-ordinated by the Oundle Food Festival, Oundle Town Council and Oundle and District Association of Trade and Commerce, a host of different Christmas food and gifts, from Christmas trees and decorations to charcuterie and cakes, will be available.
Father Christmas will be arriving by sleigh at 12.30pm and will then be in his Grotto in Greetings Shop for the rest of the day.
Families will also be entertained by music, carols, fairground rides, mulled wine and mince pies.
The town’s Christmas lights are being turned on by a surprise guest at 6pm.
In a statement, Oundle Food Festival said: “With free car parking in the town and in overspill car parks, and the town’s fabulous independent shops and cafes open for late-night shopping, and the opening day of an exhibition of local arts and crafts – Whisper Through the Trees – at the Yarrow Gallery, this is one event not to be missed.”
