An internet address aimed at marketing Corby as a great place to visit has been donated to a tourism forum for the town after generating interest and support.
The internet domain welovecorby was set up by the Corby Conservative group. Cllr Rob McKellar said he was contacted by Corby Council to ask the party to release the brand to the Corby Tourism Forum – which it has now done.
Cllr David Sims, leader of the Corby Conservatives, said: “We purchased the domain name back in 2010 to campaign to bring the tourism industry to Corby. The town has so many historic sites and places of interest.
“I am delighted to be able to donate the domain name to the people of Corby.”
