Tories win Burton Latimer by-election

The Conservatives have won a seat on Burton Latimer Town Council after a by-election.

The election yesterday (Thursday) saw Dianne Miles-Zanger take the seat with 497 votes.

Independent candidate Natalie Owens was her closest rival with 379 votes.

David Armstrong (Labour) came third with 224 votes and Liberal Democrat candidate Jason Mitchell-Bunce came fourth with 137.

Turnout was 17.7 per cent.
