The organisers of a golf open day have spoken of their delight after it raised £250 for charity.
Rushden Golf Range, situated next to John Whites Golf Club on the Bedford road, raised the cash for Parkinson’s research as part of an ongoing fundraising campaign.
On Saturday, July 6, as part of the Get to Know Rushden series of events, the golf range held a family fun day.
There were a lot of activities on the day including free junior golf lessons, free swing checks for the adults and games for the children.
There was also a performance by KC Trick Show, a trickshot golfer, who performed for the crowd.
The proceeds from the tombola, bric-a-brac stall and the cake stall were donated to the charity.
