RESIDENTS are being invited to lace up their boots for an annual walking festival.
Corby Walking Festival takes place from Saturday to Monday and gets under way at East Carlton Country Park at 10.30am, when it will be launched by mayor Gail McDade.
There will be walking activities for all levels of fitness and abilities, including heritage walks led by Dr Peter Hill who is a local historian and author.
He will be walking around Geddington and Newton on Saturday and doing the six-mile Great Oakley to Little Oakley round trip on Sunday, where he will talk about local mysteries and myths
The festival will finish on Monday with a family fun day at East Carlton Park from midday to 4pm. Activities include rides, games, a bouncy castle, a falconry display and archery.
All money raised by the event will go to Lakelands Hospice.
