Thrapston postmaster to restore Post Office services in three rural villages

The Post Office has restored services to three rural communities.

The Postmaster for Thrapston, Ricky Ghuman, agreed to re-open three hosted outreach services, whereby his team will visit the communities in Orlingbury, Loddington and Podington at set times each week.

The three outreach branches had closed in October 2016 due to the retirement of the postmaster at Warkton Post Office, who had operated these services.

Sarah Cottrell, network operations area manager, said: “Since the closure we have worked to restore the service to our customers in this area.

“Re-opening these services with reduced hours presents the best possible solution to allow us to maintain Post Office services in Loddington, Podington and Orlingbury in the longer term.”
