Event organiser Chief Inspector Nick Lyall said: “We had a massive turn-out – the car park was almost full to capacity within 45 minutes.
“There was lots going on and the helicopter was really well received. People were really pleased to see it and children always love sitting in it.
“It’s a really good day for people to understand what policing is all about.
“There was not one part of the force which was not represented at the event. We has 220 staff working who all gave up their free time to work.”
