Thieves take football after punching teenage victim in face

A 13-year-old boy was left with bruises to his face during an attack by three teenagers who also stole his football.

Police are appealing for information about the incident which took place between 12.20pm and 12.40pm on Saturday, February 2, at the junction of Gillitts Road and Osborne Close in Wellingborough.

The teenage victim was approached by two boys and a girl who used inappropriate language before one of the boys punched the victim in the face.

The second boy then stole the victim’s football before the group ran off in the direction of Croyland Park.

The first offender was a white boy, aged about 12 or 13 and 4ft 8in, with short blonde curly hair. He wore white Nike branded shoes, grey jogging bottoms and a black sleeveless Nike branded body warmer.

The second boy was white, also aged about 12 or 13 and 4ft 8in. He wore grey jogging bottoms.

The third offender was a white girl aged about 12. She wore brown boots and purple jeans.

A police spokesman said: “The victim sustained bruises to his face as a result of the assault.”
