Fifteen sheds, summer houses and garages at allotments in Rushden were broken into last night.
Sometime between last night and this morning, 9 October, the security fence of the allotments in Quorn Road was destroyed and buildings in around 15 plots were targeted.
Various items were stolen including petrol strimmers, rotivators, generators and two trailers.
PC Simon Congreve said: “As well as looking for any witnesses, we’re urging those with allotments in the area to be vigilant, ensure that their property is secure, report any suspicious activity and get in touch if they think they know the whereabouts of any of the stolen property.”
Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
