Thief steals cash after breaking into Kettering house through patio door

Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary in Whitby Close in the town.

A police spokesman said: “It’s believed an offender entered the house via a patio door and stole a handbag and wallet.

“The items were recovered in a nearby field off Lindisfarne Drive, with all cash removed.

“Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the Whitby Close area between 10pm on Sunday, June 5, and 8am on Monday, June 6.”
