Autumn at The Core theatre in Corby promises to be entertainment gold, with a mixture of big names and local talent.
There’s something for everyone with music, dance, drama and comedy on the bill.
If you like a laugh, there’s plenty to keep you amused with Alex Horne, comedian and host of BBC Radio 4’s The Horne Section, comic Paul Foot, whose fans call themselves The Guild of Connoisseurs, Phoenix Nights’ Dave Spikey and Irish stand-up Jimeoin.
And in December there is even a comedy club show for children over the age of six.
The Proclaimers’ gig in October is already sold out but Adrian Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds will be appearing at The Core in November.
The star of The Comic Strip and The Young Ones and his band will revisit punk era classics on folk instruments.
The Irish duo Foster and Allen will visit The Core as part of their Ultimate Collection tour in October and in December The Blockheads will perform new material and songs from their back catalogue at the theatre.
Other highlights include Sing-a-long-a-Rocky Horror show, with the screening of the cult movie and a chance for the audience to dress up, Corby Youth Arts Slam, tribute nights to Led Zeppelin and Billy Fury, Strictly Sixities with Bip Wetherll and his band The Telstars, a performance by The Reduced Shakespeare Company and Corby Amateur Theatrical Society’s Christmas production, Beauty And The Beast.
