The Rev Dominic Barrington has presided over his final
service as Rector at Ss Peter and Paul Church in Kettering.
Mr Barrington, who was also rector of St Michael’s at the junction of Garfield Street and Roundhill Road, took the service at Ss Peter and Paul Church on Sunday before ceremonially resigning. Mr Barrington, who has been in charge of the parish in Kettering for 12 years, has accepted a post as Dean of the Cathedral Church in Chicago.
During the same service, the church’s patron Michael Saunders Watson handed over his role to his son James, who owns Rockingham Castle.
He will be instrumental in helping appointment a successor. The Kettering parish and Rockingham Castle have been linked by patronage for over 450 years.
