Teenagers’ phones stolen in Wellingborough park

Two teenagers had their mobile phones stolen in a Wellingborough park yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, January 15).

The pair, who were with another teenager, were in the park when they were approached by a group of three men between 4.45pm and 5.25pm.

One of the men stole an iPhone 4 from a 13-year-old boy who was also forced to hand over the phone’s pass code. The same man also took a black Motorola mobile phone from a 15-year-old boy.

After taking the phones the offender and the two other men walked off along West Villa Road, in the opposite direction to the job centre.

The first offender is described as white, in his 20s, 5ft 6in and of medium build. He was wearing a black sports jacket with white stripes, grey jogging bottoms and dark blue trainers with white stripes and a snap back cap.

The second offender is black, in his 20s, 5ft 6in and of medium build. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up over a black woolly hat, black jogging bottoms, black trainers and had slight facial hair around his lips and chin.

The third offender is black, 5ft 6in and of skinny build. He was wearing a body warmer with a dark coloured jacket, black jogging bottoms, black pumps and had a silver stud in his left ear. He was carrying a black man bag with red writing on it.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have seen the group of three men in the area at the time.
