Teenager stabbed in Wellingborough car park

A teenager is in hospital after being stabbed in Wellingborough last night (Sunday).

The 19-year-old male victim was stabbed in the leg in the Co-op car park in Kingsway at about 10.45pm yesterday.

He was taken to Northampton General Hospital, where he in a stable condition.

A police spokesman said: “At about 10.45pm yesterday (Sunday), police were called to an incident in Kingsway, Wellingborough, following reports of a man having been stabbed in the leg.

“The victim, a 19-year-old man, was taken to Northampton General Hospital for treatment, where he is currently in a stable condition.

“The assault happened in the car park outside the Co-op foodstore.

“Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
