Teen cyclist suffered broken collar bone in Kettering crash

A 13-year-old cyclist who was involved in a collision with a car in Kettering on Friday morning suffered a broken collar bone, police have said.

The teenager was riding his pedal cycle at the junction of Bowling Green Road and London Road at about 8.45am when he was in a crash with a blue Vauxhall Zafira being driven by a 35-year-old woman.

The boy was taken to Kettering Hospital for treatment.

The road was shut temporarily while he was treated but it has now reopened.
