Aldi already has a store in Rockingham Road, Corby, but work has started on a second store in the town, which is taking shape in Saxon Way West.

While work progresses on the new store and its associated car parking and landscaping, Aldi Stores Limited has applied for a premises licence for the opening hours and sale of alcohol (for consumption off the premises) from 7am until 11pm Monday to Sunday.

Anyone who wishes to comment on the premises licence application can send their views to the licensing department at Corby Council before December 27.

The Northants Telegraph has contacted Aldi for a comment on its new store, but has yet to have a response.

However, the official Aldi website says the new store is due to open in March 2018.

Online recruitment for jobs at the store has started, including adverts for a store manager and a deputy store manager.
