A well-known Corby character has died aged 54.
Popular Hugh Boyle, known as Hughie, was born in Kettering in 1960 but lived in Corby.
He had worked for Avon since 1988 and had been a member of Rockingham Forest Wheelers and Corby Athletics Club.
It is believed a heart attack may have caused his death on Wednesday (August 8).
His former partner Julie Sambrook paid tribute to him after dozens of friends posted their thoughts on his Facebook page.
She said: “Hughie was particularly well thought of at Corby Irish Centre. His winning shirt from a competition has been displayed in a cabinet on their wall for may years.
“He ran for Corby Athletic Club in the 1980s where he was five times country cross county champion.”
Hugh’s mum Bridget and brother Martin live in Ireland.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
