Students given a bright career idea by National Grid

Pupils at a Corby school were given some bright ideas on future careers.

Richard Earp, education and skills manager from National Grid Education, visited students at Lodge Park Technology College in Shetland Way.

He said: “By 2050 the UK is going to have to cut its carbon emissions by 80 per cent. This is a challenge that the young people in our schools and academies at the moment are going to have to face, so it is important that we inspire the next generation of inventors, engineers and scientists.

“If students build and develop their passion for science, technology, engineering and maths, there are some fantastic careers available. The diversity and range of careers is phenomenal.”
