A 16-year-old girl from Kettering was crowned the overall winner of a national photography competition, with her entry being displayed at an exhibition at a top London gallery.
Rachel Coleman from Bishop Stopford School won the ERSC’s 2015 photographic competition Changing World, as well as scooping the award for the best environment picture on Tuesday, March 10.
Her winning photograph, taken on a school trip to Iceland, will be on show alongside a selection of the best entries at an exhibition at the Menier Gallery in London.
Rachel said: “The Iceland school trip that I attended last year was so inspiring. I’m incredibly humbled to have won.
“To have recognition for a photograph that I have spent so much time on and means so much to me is unexplainable.”
