Stores give cancer charity a £40,000 boost

One Stop Stores in Northamptonshire have helped the company raise £40,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The cash will help fund the charity’s work to support people with cancer and their families.

One Stop Stores around the country took on the challenge of Wearing It Green for Macmillan Cancer Support on 24 May, and raised the £40,000 in just one day with cake sales, tombolas, raffles, quizzes and fancy dress competitions.

Macmillan’s area fundraising manager, Nic Skipwith, said: “We were bowled over by the level of engagement from One Stop. To raise £40,000 in one day is absolutely phenomenal and will go such a long way to help support people affected by cancer, and to ensuring that no one has to face cancer alone. We are extremely proud of One Stop.”
