A student from Stanwick has pulished his first novel – an ambitious sci-fi tale about a teenager who receives visits from mysterious figures.
Dominic Hodgson’s book, Gift of the Mancynn is the first of a series of four planned books following the adventures of Philip Quint, who must make decisions about how our world is to be saved.
The 18-year-olds’s novel has been published on Amazon.
Dominic said: “For as long as I can remember I have been creating and writing stories.
“I am very excited that ‘Gift of the Mancynn’ has been accepted by Ravenswood Publishing.”
Dominic has been working on his novels whilst studying for his A levels. He is looking forward to begin studying English and creative writing at Birmingham University later this year.
The teenager formerly attended Stanwick Primary School before moving to Bedford Modern, where he has also appeared in musicals including Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, Woyzeck and Revengers Tragedy, which he helped to direct.
He volunteers at 2nd Raunds Scouts as an adult helper
Dominic said one of his ambitions is to write for television shows such as Doctor Who, as well as being a success author in his own right.
