It's time to dig your gym kit out '“ Sport Relief 2016 is taking place this weekend and there are a whole host of events taking place across the north of the county.

Here is a rundown of the runs and walks in your area to help you choose an event to take part in.

Kettering

WHAT: The Kettering Mile – run or walk a distance of one mile, three miles or six miles.

WHERE: Market Place, Sheep Street.

WHEN: Sunday, March 20, at 12.30pm.

ADMISSION: £7 adults, £3 children, £17 family (two adults, two children).

Wellingborough

WHAT: The Wellingborough Mile.

WHERE: Redwell Leisure Centre, Barnwell Road.

WHEN: Sunday, March 20, at 11am.

ADMISSION: £7 adults, £3 children, £17 family.

Corby

WHAT: The Corby Mile.

WHERE: Rockingham Triangle Athletics Stadium, Jimmy Kane Way.

WHEN: Sunday, March 20, at midday and 12.15pm.

ADMISSION: £7 adults, £3 children, £17 family.

East Northants

WHAT: The Barnwell Country Park and AWB Mile.

WHERE: Barnwell Country Park, Barnwell Road, Oundle.

WHEN: Sunday, March 20, at 11am (one mile) and 11.05am (three/six miles).

ADMISSION: £7 adults, £3 children, £17 family.

There are also swimathons at Kettering Swimming Pool, Waendel Leisure Centre in Wellingborough, Splash Pool in Rushden and The Nene Centre in Rushden.

Entry for these events is closed but spectators are encouraged to cheer on the swimmers.
