Slimmers raise big funds for charity

A group of slimmers are celebrating after their sponsored slim raised more than £300 for Jayden Nel’s Remembrance Fund for Meningitis.

The group at Rushden Slimming World, decided to raise the funds in memory of Jayden Nel, a toddler from the town who died from meningitis and septicaemia last December, aged three.

The members at the club were taking part in the ‘Slim for Good’ campaign and raised the money during a six-week sponsored slimathon.

Overall, the members lost 35-and-a-half stone between them during the slim.
