From animals big and small, to classic cars and giant vegetables, they were all at the East of England Autumn Show.
And there was a special guest for younger visitors – Pontypandy’s very own hero next door Fireman Sam!
Among the attractions at the Peterborough Arena at the weekend were birds of prey, duck and sheepdog displays, Pony Club team showjumping, a shire horse show and giant vegetable competition as well as exhibitions of rare breed cattle, sheep, pigs and goats and classic cars and vintage tractors.
Among the local winners in the giant vegetable competition were Terry Greenham of Great Doddington, whose swede won first place in its class. His beetroot and potato picked up second in their classes, his onion and long cucumber came third, and his pumpkin, marrow, leek and heavy cucumber all came fourth!
Brother and sister Jack and Sophia Gillett, aged eight and five, also of Great Doddington, were awarded a third place for their giant pumpkin.
