Slideshow: Desborough commemorates First World War centenary

Desborough Women’s British Legion, Guides, Brownies and Rainbows attended a service at the war memorial to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.

The service of remembrance was conducted by the Rev Canon Neil Clarke and Guide Emya Smart read In Flanders Field.

This was followed by the attendance joining in to sing I Vow to Thee my Country.

The last Post and Reveille was sounded, after which wreathes were laid and a blessing given.

Tea and biscuits were then available in the nearby community centre.
