Boughton House opened its gardens to the public for charity.
Northamptonshire’s answer to the Palace of Versailles opened its celebrated gardens for one day only on October 25 in partnership with the National Gardens Scheme.
Visitors were able to see the Grade 1 designed landscape in its full autumnal glory and enjoy the romance of the Walled Garden and Lily Pond.
Property manager Charles Lister said: “The National Gardens Scheme donates to so many wonderful charities and we at Boughton House are thrilled to be able to show our support by opening our beautiful gardens to visitors.
“Visitors were able to witness nature transforming the gardens as they meandered through, and were able to admire the newest addition – the Grand Etang lake – which opened earlier this year, marking a major milestone in the restoration of Boughton’s historic landscape.”
