Second World War bugle stolen from Irthlingborough house

A Second World War bugle was among the items stolen from a house in Irthlingborough.

The break-in happened between 7.40am and 5.30pm on Wednesday, November 29, when burglars smashed a pane of glass at the back of the house in Meeting Lane.

A number of items were of a high sentimental value to the owner, including a bugle with green rope wrapped around it which was used by the victim’s grandfather during the Second World War.

The thieves also took a pocket watch with a rose gold chain, a 55in LG 4K TV and sound bar, DAB radio, CD player with mini-disc and speakers, a small ornate clock with a pendulum mechanism, an Only Fools and Horses frame with characterised money inside and a pack of Cornish beers.
