Search goes on for Rockingham Hill chase driver

Police are still looking for a driver who jumped out of a car and left it to roll down a steep hill.

The 4x4 vehicle was involved in a police chase through Corby last Thursday afternoon (March 10).

Officers abandoned their pursuit when it became too dangerous and the driver jumped out of the vehicle on steep Rockingham Hill, leaving the car to career down the hill.

It came to a stop at the gates to Rockingham Castle and thankfully no one was injured.

Officers arrived on the scene seconds later and the police helicopter was out, but they could not find the driver who ran off.

Police today said that their inquiry was ongoing and that no arrests had yet been made.
