A TOTAL of 65 youngsters took part in a 100-mile challenge as part of centenary celebrations held by the 1st Finedon Scouts.
The event was held as part of the 100 challenges being held over 12 months this year to celebrate the group’s centenary year.
Group scout leader Patsy Coles said: “Finedon Scout Group completed the 100-mile challenge on Tuesday night and did a fantastic job of covering 193.25 miles in just over two hours.
“We had 65 young people between the ages of six and 14 who walked their socks off in the dreary evening around The Green in High Street.”
The challenges will continue over the summer when youngsters from the group take part in a summer camp in Hertfordshire.
