A governor at a primary school in Rushden has asked people to help them win a national art competition.
Parent governor Phill Colwell said: “I am proud to be a parent governor at Denfield Park Primary School, and in particular very proud of the artistic skills held by the children.
“As a school, Denfield pupils have produced some fantastic art with their teachers and subject leader Rachel Lambert. Denfield has recently been awarded the bronze Artsmark accreditation, the only primary school in the Rushden area to do so, and have won local art competitions including a local competition organised by the Rotary club, where Denfield pupils won first, second and third places.
“Denfield School is currently one of the top three schools in a national art competition organised by Art Sparks. This national competition closes on Friday, October 17th, and Denfield Park Primary School would now like to call upon the support of the local community, with the help of the Northants Telegraph, to vote for their local school in this national competition, putting Rushden on the art map.
“Voting takes place at www.art.co.uk/artevent.”
