A school dinner lady has retired from Cottingham Primary School after 32 years’ service.

Lynette Muir, who lives in Cottingham, started working at the school in 1982 when she set up a pre-school group.

She then moved on to become a teaching assistant, a special needs assistant and, in 1991, a lunchtime supervisor.

She said: “I’ve always loved working with children and have enjoyed being part of the village through the school.”
