Residents’ faces lit up when a pair of reindeer visited them. The reindeer went along to Glenmoor care home in Corby to see the 50 residents after activities co-ordinator Lee McCormick got in touch with Ponies for Parties of East Carlton.

Lee said: “The residents loved them. It was an absolutely fantastic morning and the atmosphere was buzzing.

“The residents were talking about the visit for hours afterwards. It was a chance to give them an experience they’d never normally have and it’s so pleasing for us to be able to make the residents happy.”

About 30 children from the foundation class at Rockingham Primary School went along as well.
