Safe tampered with during burglary at Northampton church

Police are investigating a burglary at a Northampton church.

A safe was tampered with and papers were rifled through.

A safe was tampered with and papers were rifled through at the Church of Jesus Christ in Harlestone Road.

The burglary was discovered by the keyholder at 8am on Sunday (March 5).

The incident happened overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Officers are appealing for witnesses who saw any suspicious activity in the area to contact police.
