Rushden Primary Academy, which is sponsored by Greenwood Academies Trust, opened in September 2015 as a new primary academy for ages four to 11.

Writing in The Review, the article explains that this proved to be an opportunity to create an amazing school; one the community will gravitate towards and shall endure as an outstanding beacon in the Rushden area.

With the long-term future in mind, the Prime Minister’s foreword centres on securing the foundations for future productivity by improving school standards, transforming technical education and delivering infrastructure for growth.

These plans for the future are just some of the views echoed throughout The Review from industry leaders from across the country.

After a year of progress for the education sector, The Parliamentary Review outlines areas of excellence and relevant issues for teachers, communities and policymakers alike.

These will be featured alongside commentary on the sector from former education secretary and Review chairman Lord Blunkett.

Liza Davies, principal of Rushden Primary Academy, said: “I am delighted the academy is included within The Parliamentary Review.

“The feature really highlights the fantastic work we have achieved at Rushden Primary Academy.

“We recently received our first Ofsted rating of good, and we are well on our way to become an outstanding academy.

“As mentioned in the feature, I would also like to thank our sponsor, Greenwood Academies Trust, for its support while we continue to build on the success of Rushden Primary Academy.”

Wayne Norrie, CEO of Greenwood Academies Trust, said: “This is an excellent feature and I am thrilled the hard work of every staff member and pupil at the academy has been recognised in The Parliamentary Review.

“We are extremely proud of what Rushden Primary Academy has achieved in its first three years, and we look forward to seeing their hard work evolve in the next year.”
