Natwest Bank in Rushden is asking for donations of Easter eggs which will then be donated to children’s charity Spurgeons.

Customers can drop off eggs in the run-up to Easter and these will then be given to local children’s centres run by Spurgeons, which is based in the town.

Branch manager Mark Townson said: “We at Natwest Rushden branch look forward to working with Spurgeons in the build-up to the Easter period, they do a great job for the local community, helping children and young people.

“We invite people to drop off an Easter Egg at the Rushden branch before March 22 so we can donate these to Spurgeons and they can be handed out to young people they work with.”

Natwest has chosen to support Spurgeons as they work closely with children and young people in the local community and they felt Easter was an ideal time to work with a children’s charity.

Easter eggs can be donated at the Rushden branch in High Street up until March 22.
