Rural crime in Kettering borough drops by nine per cent
In the 12 months leading up to December 2015, areas such as Rothwell and Desborough saw 1,545 crimes – down from 1,695 from the previous 12 months.
Out of these, 17 per cent have been resolved, with drug offenders the most likely to get caught with a 91 per cent detection rate.

Hide AdThere has been a 57 per cent increase in sexual offences, but similarly to Kettering’s crime statistics, many of these are historic.
The statistics break down crimes for each ward.
Those showing a decrease in crime were: Desborough Loatland (25 per cent), Desborough St Giles (37 per cent), Rothwell (13 per cent) and Welland (25 per cent).
Those showing an increase in crime were: Barton (14 per cent), Queen Eleanor and Buccleuch (21 per cent) and Slade (10 per cent).
Burton Latimer saw no change in recorded crime.
