Rubbish was allowed to pile up on the Kingswood estate, Corby, for a week to highlight the problem of fly-tipping.

Corby Council wanted to show how much waste gathers on the streets each week.

On Friday Allan Tracey, Stacey Poole, Laura Shaw, Natasha Bell and Bob Althorpe of the council’s environmental team cleared up the mess, with help from Kier Street Services.

Letters are being sent out to residents to ask their views on litter.
