A Rothwell hairdressers have raised hundreds of pounds for some of the world’s poorest communities through a 1960s-themed evening held last week.
Queen’s Hairdressing, in Market Hill, hosted the event last Thursday at The Olive Lounge as part of cosmetics company Aveda’s Earth Month.
The event raised £750 for WaterAid, which helps bring clean water and sanitation to some of the poorest places in the world.
The evening included a 60s live band and a raffle with a range of prizes donated by local businesses.
Globally, Aveda sought to raise $6 million as part of its Earth Month campaign.
