Robbery victim had knife held to throat

A man had a knife held to his throat during a robbery at a house in Corby.

The incident happened on Tuesday (September 25) when the victim returned to his home in Gainsborough Road at about 5.45pm.

Two men he was expecting were standing at his door and he invited them in.

A police spokesman said: “One of the men held a knife to his throat while the other searched the property. They made off with a number of items, including a laptop and mobile telephones.”

Officers are keen to speak to a woman who had been shopping at the S & S store in Gainsborough Road, between 5.30pm and 5.45pm, and who walked past the scene of the robbery.

Both robbers were white and in their 20s. One was slim and clean-shaven with short blond hair. He was wearing a blue hooded top, tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a drawstring bag.

The second man had short light brown hair and he was clean-shaven.
