Two Northamptonshire roads are currently blocked due to areas of flooding.

This comes after reports of snow across the county today (January 14) and, as the snow is not settling and turning to rain, this is causing certain areas to flood.

Both ways have been partially blocked on the A6 in Market Harborough and there are reports of slow traffic due to flooding near McDonald's near the Foxton Locks roundabout. This is in an area where there are ongoing roadworks.

The B663 in Raunds is reported to be completely blocked both ways due to flooding between Enterprise Road and Midland Road. Traffic is currently coping well.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police warned: "The rain has turned to snow across the county, making driving or riding conditions difficult on untreated roads. If you do need to make an essential journey, please take extra care."
