Revealing the beauty of clouds

A man who is obsessed with clouds is going to try and convince astronomers that clouds should be appreciated.

Ian Loxley, a self-confessed weather fanatic, is giving a talk called Clouds for Astronomers at Chelveston Village Hall on Monday, May 11, from 8pm.

The talk will be illustrated and will detail how his fascination with all things weather-related began. It will include images to help people identify the main cloud types including the newly classified Asperatus undulates cloud.

He will also include some pictures of amusing “clouds that look like things”.

The talk has been organised by the Nene Vallley Astronomical Society and costs £3 including tea and biscuits, everyone is welcome.
