Numerous roles will be on offer at an autumn jobs fair at Rushden Lakes.
Anyone looking for work will be able to meet potential employers at the event from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday, September 25.
The jobs fair will be taking place in a marquee between Fat Face and L’Occitane, with participating employers including Wagamama and Bill’s.
A number of current vacancies will be advertised at the event, and job seekers will also be trained in skills needed to match them with local employers.
The fair is being held as part of the Recruit Rushden Lakes initiative which is a free recruitment programme set up by The Crown Estate, which owns Rushden Lakes, to connect the workforce in the area to new jobs.
Paul Rich, centre manager at Rushden Lakes, said: “Recruit Rushden Lakes works with employers and agencies – including the town’s Job Centre Plus – to match local job seekers with vacancies, provide businesses with skilled, job-ready candidates and also offer ongoing support including training programmes and workplace mentoring.
“Recruit Rushden Lakes is a part of The Crown Estate’s commitment to supporting and working within the community.
“The initiative helps connect talented people with the right roles and helps our retail and restaurant businesses at Rushden Lakes to find and train the staff they need.
“For the upcoming jobs fair, we have many vacancies available across Rushden Lakes and we look forward to seeing local people coming along to find their next role.”
Helena Edwards, customer service manager of Department for Work and Pensions at Rushden Job Centre Plus, said: “This is a perfect opportunity to find Christmas jobs at Rushden Lakes and in the local area, and to meet employers who are currently recruiting.
“There will be training providers attending as well to give advice and guidance.
“We are excited to be hosting this event as part of Recruit Rushden Lakes, following on from the success of the last jobs fair at Rushden Lakes in May this year.”
