Corby Council is calling on residents to show pride in the borough and join its latest Big Pick event.

On Saturday (May 17) the council’s Neighbourhood Pride Team will be in Cottingham, Middleton and East Carlton Country Park holding a community clean-up.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Village Store and Cafe in Corby Road, Cottingham, at 10am where they will be given all the equipment they will need to take part in the litter-pick.

Leader of Corby Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said: “Our Big Pick events have been very successful and well received by all involved. We have received tremendous backing from our communities with up to 45 members of the community volunteering. We hope that this support continues and that we see lots of residents getting involved in the latest Big Pick.”

After the hard work is done, tea and coffee will be served in the village cafe.
