Residents on the Kingswood estate in Corby are being asked their views on plans for a housing development in the area.

A consultation event on the scheme for Boston Close is being held on Thursday, February 27, from midday until 2pm, at the Snack Shack in Kingswood Community Centre.

Corby Council and developers Willmott Dixon will unveil two design ideas for the regeneration project and residents will be invited to give their views and put forward their ideas.

Leader of Corby Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said: “This is a great opportunity for residents to have a look at a couple of ideas being put forward for the area and speak to the relevant officers and developers about their thoughts on them.

“It is important for us to get feedback from the community and keep them involved in order to create a development that fits within their area and is something that they can be proud of.

“We hope that many residents get involved with this process.”

The Boston Close development is part of the Affordable Homes Programme and could include up to 26 of the 58 affordable homes planned by Corby Council by March 2015.

Refreshments will be served at the consultation event.
