Residents were forced to flee their homes after outbuildings caught fire at a house in Wellingborough.
Several fire crews and police officers attended the scene in Minerva Way after the fire broke out shortly after 1pm today (Monday).
A 50 metre police cordon was in place while the fire was being tackled because of nearby gas cylinders, with properties evacuated to Glamis Hall.
The fire service managed to put out the fire before it spread to neighbouring properties.
Nobody is believed to have been injured in the incident.
A fire spokesman said: “An investigation is still being carried out into the cause of the fire.”
